All of the staff members were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was better than expected for the price, with comfortable beds, additional pillows in the wardrobe and a fan that we used overnight. The bathroom was clean with a good shower. It had recently been painted an olive green which is on trend! We arrived early (a day early!), but the chap on reception sorted this and gave us the additional evening at the discounted booking.com rate. We were able to bag a parking space too for the 2 nights that we stayed. This was an extra £6 per night and is alongside the hotel. Arrive early as these are just available on a 'first come - first served' basis. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel as there is a very good Weatherspoon's nearby that serves a small full English for £3.99 as well as yogurt and fruit or porridge and fruits, with all day coffee refills costing £1.71. So we ate there. We were first timer 'spooners but loved the spacious roof terrace and sea views. Breakfast at the hotel is £12. All in all a decent hotel, lovely team and comfy, clean rooms at a very reasonable price! The location was spot on too. It is pretty much opposite the theatre/museum and 5 mins walk to the sea. The harbour is about a 10- 15 minute walk from the hotel.

Really lovely staff, perfect location. Public parking offsite was so close, easy, relatively inexpensive, and felt very safe. HUGE room! I really love space, and very, very high ceilings - add the massive windows, and this was truly splendid! I could have pitched my 6 person tent in there! Some reviews saying decoration a bit tired etc... Look, its a pretty old building - which I personally love. I think it looks more than fine on the inside! It's spacious, it's light, warm, and dry, everything works, and its a lot less tired than just about everything else in North Devon! If you want sparkly 'paint-still-wet' rooms where you don't have space to shake the arms out of your pyjamas, book a Premier Inn. If you want a warm welcome, and space to breathe and spread out a bit - book this. Why not a 10? Well I'm a bit pedantic about ratings is all. We simply didn't try the any of the downstairs facilities - food/bar etc. We just didn't need them. The beds were normal sized, so they look and feel a tad small in the vast space! But they're comfy, they're above "fine", and as place to stay - it was a delight to come back to at the end of a tiring day.

I needed a reasonable priced accommodation for a couple of nights while visiting family, The Dilkhusa Hotel, was excellent value for money, Very clean, comfortable, white fluffy towels, crisp white sheets and I had everything I needed in the room. The widows open, which is great for me as I get warm at night. It's in a very good location, with a bus stop just outside and cafés and restaurants close by. The breakfast was good, a choice of cereal, yogurt and fruit, followed by a hot choice. I had bacon, sausage, beans and scrambled egg with toast. All very good. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Overall a very good stay.

The nihht gentleman was chatty and lovely, helped us and was a great conversation for a few hours. The day staff women were nice, thr first was lovely but the rest a bit nosey, not seeing us before doesnt give you the right to demand where weve been and what room number. The lady who checked me in knew all the laws and legislation for us and questions answered. Brilliant place just some staff need a hobby or to be a little more polite. We both still loved our stay due to the night watchman being a gent and can hold a good conversation. Beautiful hotel and id visit again.

Great staff - extremely helpful and accommodating 0 realistic with my expectations. The Male manager Irish manager was superb - considering i booked out of season.. he attended to my needs++ then when I met his wife she was exactly the same. The young gentleman serving breakfast was impeccable.. very kind and attentive. Manager thought, realistically I would not see a sea view. HOWEVER on a bright clear day - I could !!. I was more than happy there and felt SOOO comfortable as a female sole traveller.. Thank You Dilkhusa!!
